The fourth type of home security system is the cellular alarm system. These systems operate by communicating with a central station through a cellular signal, much like the ones used by cell phones. These are some of the best home security systems available, because they can't be disconnected by cutting a wire, and they don't stop working during power outages. But all four types of home security systems have advantages and disadvantages, and the best home security system depends on you - on your home, your budget, and your personal preferences.
